This website is operated by Pheasant Acre Plants. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Pheasant Acre Plants. Pheasant Are Plants offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
By visiting and / or purchasing something from us you are agreeing to be bound by our Terms and conditions of service. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of service by posting updates and / or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes.
Our store is hosted on Woo Commerce who provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification or discontinuance.
We will send an email acknowledgement of your order from Pheasant Acre Plants as soon as the ordering process is complete. Your order is not accepted until you have received the confirmation email. We will endeavour to fulfill all orders as placed but reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason.
Pricing and Availability
Wherever possible we will send you exactly what you have ordered. If, however, a product is unavailable for any reason we reserve the right to send a suitably matched alternative unless you specify to the contrary on the on-line order form, in which case we will contact you directly.
Bulbs, Corms, Tubers and Plants
To ensure that you get the best from our bulbs, corms and tubers we dispatch them during the months specified on our website so that you receive them at the time of year when it is best for you to plant. Our dahlia plants are sent out from April to June. However, should the weather be too cold at the start of our normal dispatch season we will hold early deliveries back, for as short a time as is necessary to minimise any risk of frost damage in transit, so as to ensure that they will arrive in good condition. We will contact you as we are packing to confirm your delivery date.
We will always aim to supply you with the variety you have ordered, however, we do reserve the right to substitute with a suitable alternative (plants may be substituted due to poor rooting). If you do not wish to receive a substitute then this must be noted at the time of ordering. Where it has been necessary to substitute we will always advise of this when sending out your order.
Payment is taken at the point of ordering even if you are ordering out of relevant delivery season.
If in the unlikely event of your plants not being in good condition upon arrival because of damage or delay please notify us either by email (email@example.com) or by letter within 7 days of receipt of your order. Please also photograph the plants and / or packing and retain for inspection if requested. In such cases we will endeavour to replace or refund the cost of the plant.
We will endeavour to deliver your order to you as soon as possible within our specified delivery periods but please allow up to 28 days from receipt of your order for dispatch, particularly at peak delivery times.
We currently use Royal Mail and DPD (next day delivery).
As we take orders out of season approximate delivery dates are provided for each product and may well fall outside the 30 statutory days because plants are being propagated for your order. A confirmation email will be sent on receipt of your order which will confirm delivery dates. For all plant orders a further email will be sent in advance of delivery to update delivery dates. We aim to process orders in the order in which they were received. Where orders are being sent by DPD a tracking email or text will be sent by the courier the day prior to delivery with a follow up email/text on the day of delivery giving an hour delivery slot. In the event of the customer not being available to take delivery (or where delivery instructions have not been supplied) we will as a matter of course, with plant orders ask the courier to leave the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour. In such cases DPD will leave a card specifying the location and will photograph the parcel in its location as proof of delivery (this can be viewed by following the instructions on the delivery card).
A delivery surcharge may be applied depending on your shipping address (please see our delivery page for a breakdown of shipping costs and surcharges).
Where a customer orders products with differing delivery dates such as plants and bulbs, the order will incur multiple delivery charges.
At the current time it is not possible to ship plants outside the UK.
Export Area Restrictions
We are only able to supply to addresses in the UK, the Channel Islands and the European Union.
Post and packing charges
Post and packing charges listed on the website are for delivery to mainland UK addresses and the Isle of Wight. Should you wish to order from outside these areas please contact us when placing your order and we will advise you of the delivery charge.
Payment should be made at the time of ordering. Payment can be made via PayPal on-line via the website. We can also take debit and credit card payments over the phone. If you wish to pay by cheque please note this in the comments section when placing your order. Please make your cheque payable to Pheasant Acre Plants and write your name and address on the back of your cheque so that we can match it to your order.
The prices shown on the site are in pounds sterling and as such we can only accept payment in this currency.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and conform to the Data Protection Act 1998 in addition to the updated General Data Protection Act 25th May 2018.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any other party. We may, from time to time, provide you with more information about Pheasant Acre Plants products and special offers.
The information we collect is:
Email address (to email your order confirmations, update you on delivery, and send you details of our special offer)
Credit/Debit card details (only to pay for your order)

This website does not store any information that would, on its own, allow us to identify individual users of this service without their permission. Any cookies that may be used by this website are used either solely on a per session basis or to maintain user preferences. Cookies are not shared with any third parties.
Complaints and Returns
We aim to supply bulbs, corms and plants of the highest quality at all times. If however you consider our goods and services to be in any way defective or sub-standard, please contact Pheasant Acre Plants on 01656 664086 or email: email@example.com.
You have the right to cancel your order at any time and within 14 days of the advised delivery dates.
All returns must be returned must be returned at your cost and within 7 days of receipt of order (unless previously agreed with us in writing).
Payment for the returned goods will be refunded within 14 days of the goods being received by us, less the cost of postage.
Law and Jurisdiction
The terms and conditions of our sales are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided by the courts of England and Wales. Our stated terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
